LIETUVA

In the fall of 2015, I found the need to leave. I needed to get out of my hometown, away from my family and the furthest from my comfort zone that I could get. I decided I was moving to Europe. I was enrolling in a program where I would be teaching elementary aged kids English. I was teaching, but I was also given many opportunities to travel. Above all else, I was able to leave my comfort zone, learn of a completely different culture and make some of the best friends I will ever have.

For any of you that have never been to Eastern Europe, you are truly missing out. It is the true definition of a hidden gem. It is a place filled with rich culture, loving people and delicious foods. It is a place filled with cobblestone streets, gelato that is to die for and lush, green forests.

Lithuania was the exact place I needed to be. I learned about more about myself in those 5 months than I had my whole 19 years of living. Traveling is everything to me.
